- What you need
- Power Query. Local-folder refresh in the Power BI service needs an appropriate gateway. SharePoint needs your own access. Combining SAP lists additionally uses SAP_CleanList. The bundled folders, including excluded backups, passed natively in Power BI Desktop (17 Oct 2026) and Excel Power Query (19 Oct 2026), 7 scenarios each. Not yet run on SharePoint or through a gateway. A text path also reads subfolders: keep archives outside the folder.

- Combining is not deduplication. Keep one final export per period. SAP temporary files and backups are excluded by default; unrelated files still need a filter.
